1- Working principle of rotary drum filter

A rotary drum filter is a device for solid-liquid separation that filters solid particles in the liquid by screening the rotating drum. The equipment is composed of feeding pipe, rotating drum, cleaning pipe, discharge port, etc.

In the filtration process, the liquid flows from the feed tube into the center of the rotating drum and then flows along the surface of the rotating drum, retaining solid particles through a fine-hole filter. The filtered clean liquid is discharged from the discharge port. Solid particles are deposited on the surface of the drum, forming a filter cake, and gradually compressed with the movement of the rotating drum.

During the cleaning process, the cleaning liquid is sprayed from the cleaning water pipe to the surface of the filter cake, and it is thoroughly cleaned. The cleaning solution is discharged through the discharge port and mixed in the discharge solution.
